How to Use the Word Counter Tool
Using this word counter is quick and straightforward. You don’t need to sign up or install anything — everything works instantly in your browser.
First, copy the text you want to analyze and paste it into the large text box. You can also start typing directly into the editor. As soon as you add text, the tool automatically updates all results in real time.
The Words count shows how many individual words your text contains. Characters displays the total number of characters including spaces, while Characters (no spaces) removes spaces from the count, which is useful for platforms with strict character limits.
The tool also calculates Sentences and Paragraphs, helping you understand the structure of your writing. This is especially useful for essays, blog posts, and SEO content where readability matters.
To estimate how long your content takes to read, adjust the Reading Speed (WPM) value if needed. The Reading Time updates instantly based on your selected words-per-minute setting.
